  • How much time does this take to set up an account?

  • What happens when an employee answers yes on a screening question?
    If an employee answers ‘yes’ on a screening question, the contact on the account will receive an email alerting them to follow up.
  • What if someone has Covid19?
    Thanks to CovidControl.ca, employers can quickly trace screening results going back 21 days, and provide this information to health officials, if necessary, in a matter of minutes.
  • How is data stored and secured?
    All data is encrypted and stored on secure Canadian servers. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
  • Do you use environmentally conscious data centers?
    Yes we do! The data centers we use are powered by renewable energy, are paperless, use eco-friendly cooling and are green certified by the Green Business Bureau.
  • Is CovidControl.ca compliant with the The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)?
    CovidControl.ca is fully compliant with PIPEDA legislation.
  • How does CovidControl.ca dispose of data after 21 days?
    Data older than 21 days old is automatically deleted from our files and servers.
  • Do you share this data with anyone?
    All screening data collected by CovidControl.ca is private to your organization. This data is not shared with anyone outside your organization and deleted after 21 days.

  • Will this software protect my team from Covid19?
    This software will keep you compliant with provincial Covid19 employee screening requirements and could help you reduce the risk of a major outbreak in your workplace and community.
  • Is this app really Canadian?
    CovidControl.ca was developed in Oakville, Ontario, and all our servers are in Canada and all of our staff are Canadian. We’re as Canadian as it gets!
  • Isn't there a free way to do this?
    Each province has online tools to covid screening surveys and they work well for individuals. In addition, some businesses have used various online tools for screening. Many of these online tools don't keep the data in Canada. When a business has to ensure compliance it becomes a problem for staff and visitors to submit the screening results to your business and for you to organize and keep the data safe and to properly dispose of the data at the right time. And if you need to provide details for contact tracing, it's cumbersome. CovidControl.ca simplifies and streamlines the process to keep you safe and compliant for a nominal fee.
  • Can I have multiple locations?
    Yes, you can have as many locations as you need. View the pricing page for more details.
  • Can I use the screening tool in my province?
    Yes. When you select the province for your location, the system will automatically use the screening questions recommended by that province's health officials.
  • Can I add my own questions or edit them?
    Not at this time. To keep things simple for employees and visitors we've used the recommended screenings questions for each province. This is a feature we may add in the future though. If this is a feature you'd like to see please let us know by contacting us.
